Flapper

First off, this is so directly lifted from this month's Vogue that I don't want to take any credit for it. Just another sketch to develop my ability and speed at Photoshop painting. I liked the photo I did this from for two reasons: The first is that the model had lip enamel dabbed into the center of her lips and I thought it would be fun to capture that. The second is that the photoshoot is an homage to the fashion designer, Paul Poiret, who I did a project on (here).

Here's a little sketch that I spent just a little bit too much time on. The pose is directly lifted from a delightful photoshoot in this month's Harper's Bazaar. I'm trying to gain speed and paint more expressively, so it would probably be a good idea to do a lot of quick sketches. Like 30-second poses in life drawing class...
